Account Manager
About the job
We’re looking for a Dubai-based Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of Nomod’s key merchant relationships. You’ll be the primary point of contact for merchants - ensuring they get the most out of Nomod, helping them scale their payment volumes, and acting as their advocate within Nomod across operations, product, engineering and risk.
This role is about retention, growth, and strategic partnership. You’ll combine strong commercial acumen with excellent relationship management skills to drive tangible business outcomes for both our clients and Nomod.
The Role
As an Account Manager you will:
Retain and grow merchant accounts by driving adoption of Nomod’s payment solutions and increasing processed payment volumes. Regularly look for referrals for other businesses and onboard the referrals as well.
Cross-sell and upsell Nomod’s wider ecosystem - from payment links and in-person payments to Membership, Payment Gateway, Store, Catalogue, etc.
Act as the merchant’s advocate within Nomod, liaising with the risk, engineering, operations, and product teams to resolve issues, streamline onboarding, and mitigate disputes/chargebacks.
Own the relationship: build trust with decision makers through regular account reviews, in-person meetings, and performance insights.
Drive merchant success metrics such as retention rate, volume growth, and adoption of additional Nomod features.
Provide training and support to ensure merchants’ teams are confident using Nomod day-to-day.
Gather and relay feedback from merchants to help shape product roadmap and operational improvements.
Identify churn risks early and take proactive steps to safeguard account health.
What we’d like
You do not need to be intimately familiar with any of the technologies that we work with. Great people are effective at quickly learning what we use or introducing us to new ways of working. Having said that, we think an Account Manager should:
Proven experience in account management, relationship management, or customer success within payments, fintech, SaaS, or any similar merchant facing roles.
Strong commercial mindset - you understand how to grow accounts, spot upsell opportunities, and handle negotiations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
A problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Familiar with the UAE market and business landscape.
UAE driving license required (role includes in-person merchant visits).
Data-driven with the ability to analyze account performance and present actionable insights.
Comfortable working in a remote, distributed team.
Nice to have
Prior experience at a high-growth startup or at an established fintech firm.
Fluency in other languages in addition to English, including Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or Malayalam.
