We are looking for an Engineering Manager who bridges the gap between high-level product strategy and technical execution. In this role, you aren't just managing people; you are managing the terminal velocity of a team that treats AI agents (e.g., Claude, Codex, etc.) as first-class collaborators. We want a leader who moves beyond traditional "backend/frontend" silos to build a culture of true Product Engineers who own the lifecycle end-to-end. Technical ability is our baseline, but Product Taste and AI Fluency are our primary filters for this leadership position. You will be responsible for scaling an elite team that prioritizes user value and system integrity over simply "completing a ticket"

As an Engineering Manager you will:

• Partner closely with Product Management and key stakeholders to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, ensuring engineering efforts maximize user value and impact.

• Work in tandem with the Engineering Lead to balance rapid feature delivery with architectural health, ensuring the team maintains a high bar for code quality and security.

• Manage engineers who leverage AI agents to handle the bulk of code generation, focusing the team's energy on high-level architecture and product impact.

• Oversee the design of robust APIs and high-level security patterns to protect against vulnerabilities like XSS and SQL injection across the full stack.

• Integrate AI workflows into CI/CD pipelines to move from concept to deployed feature in record time while maintaining high observability.

• Own the reliability of the team’s output by enforcing automated testing standards and monitoring key metrics to proactively identify performance bottlenecks.

• Encourage the development of reusable plugins, extensions, and modular systems to maintain a lean, scalable, and high-performance codebase.

What we'd like

Technical ability is a baseline, but Product Taste and AI Fluency are our primary filters. We're looking for a manager who is bored by manual boilerplate and excited to architect agentic workflows that enable an entire team to build at terminal velocity

• A strong track record of engineering management coupled with high product taste and "product thinking".

• Exceptional ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and Product Managers.

• Deep understanding of Python/Django and React environments to effectively audit, refine, and unblock team output.

• Strong understanding of backend systems, including PostgreSQL/MySQL, message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka), and cloud infrastructure.

• A passion for writing clean, secure code and a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals and design patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go for performance-critical services.

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) to support AI-driven deployments.

• Background in building or fine-tuning LLM-based features.

• Experience in the Fintech industry.
