Payouts Specialist
About the job
Tens of thousands of merchant payouts leave Nomod every month, and every one of them matters to the business receiving it. Our platform generates the payout runs, so this is not a data entry job: you are in control. You review what the system has produced, approve it, and deal with everything that does not go to plan. Approval is staffed twenty-four hours from Monday to Friday, and across a weekend window, on three shifts. You will work five days a week with two consecutive days off, and one weekend a month.
As a Payouts Specialist, you will:
Review and approve the merchant payout runs the platform generates, to a firm cut-off, on a shift
Hold the line on anything that looks wrong: you are the last check before money leaves the business
Work a published rotation through the shifts your location covers, plus one weekend a month
Process merchant refunds and resolve failed, returned or held payouts
Run a clean written handover at the start and end of every shift, so the next approver picks up mid-queue without losing anything

Having said that, we think a Payouts Specialist should:
Have two or more years in payments operations, banking operations, or finance operations
Be comfortable working to a cut-off with real money at stake, and calm when something breaks
Have meticulous attention to detail. You check twice, and you notice when a number looks wrong
Have strong spreadsheet skills and confidence in a banking portal or payments dashboard
Have clear written communication. You can explain a payment problem simply, and write a handover someone else can act on
Be available to work a rotating shift pattern that includes weekends. This is a core requirement, not an occasional ask. The pattern is published a month in advance: five days on and two consecutive days off every week, and one weekend worked per month
The hours for your seat are set out in the offer and are part of the role from day one. Everyone works from home
Have the judgement to approve within your limit and escalate above it, without needing to be told which is which
Nice to have
Experience at a payment provider, acquirer, gateway or bank in payouts or settlement
Familiarity with UAE banking portals and AED payment rails
Previous experience on a shift or night rotation in a live operations team
Exposure to approval limits, authority matrices, or segregation of duties processes
High-growth startup or fintech experience, and experience working in remote, multicultural teams.
